I've been making my own breads for almost 40 years. I use real butter and Honey in the mix and since both are naturally microbiological resistant, they outlast store bought. Flour, water, milk, eggs, butter, honey, salt - that's all. No high fructose corn syrup, no tropical oils, or trans fats. I have low blood pressure and cholesterol, I'm healthy and happy.
it's crazy when I was a kid and you bought a loaf of Wonder Bread it went stale in 4 days now that shit can be on your counter for 3 weeks and it's still soft as shit
This is not true at all I run a bread route color ties have nothing to do with the freshness of the product check your dates and stop being lazy
I buy all my fresh bread from Publix bakery! but I found that it goes stale very quickly especially green mold. the bread is delicious but it doesn't last I don't think they add any additives to keep the bread from going stale. so if you buy fresh bread from Publix you have to eat it within a few days or it will go bad on you I am Michael Knight and I approve this message👍😆
I make most of my own food and have even made naan.
I can't even remember what da hell I'm at the store for....let alone color coding
how about printing the date nice and big on the package
Or u can just reach in the back
Haha 😆only took me 42years to figure it out 😆
that's old.hall just t finding it out. its the same as the color tops on water bottles
Look for sale by date subtract a year! Eat as soon as you expose it to the air.
no matter what you're looking for always grab the bottoms and in the back
does this work on on all stores
ok what about the white one?
The stores in our area have bread that’s been using twist ties. No color code and no BB date. Clueless. 🍞
I'm gonna try that. i don't cook cuz I live alone and I don't like bread from stores .They taste yeasty.Thank u for the tip
the stores bring in the bread frozen. it thaws on the shelf. it could be monday through friday weeks ago.
stupid video
Why for the stores why not marked like they used to be fresh till@@@ so we know and can purchase the freshest product! Either all going on in peoples lives think we can remember color of bread tabs !
I knew that but I always checked the dates. Sometimes if I couldn't see them I would use the tag color. 👍
so is the color code when it was deliverd or date of last sale?
Now I know, I’m 67yrs and we learn daily, Thanks
It amazes me that out of 595 comments, at least 1/3 are asking what the WHITE tag or WHITE twist ties mean. The only answers and only a few guess that the product is pre-frozen. This is not the case. Look on the front just a few inches below that white twist to see the date. This date is the sell by date and that doesn't mean use by date. As a lot of people have said that they bring it home and it stays fresh from days to weeks.
OK, There using Brown Cardboard now, in Michigan ,What Day is it 4?
Would you be willing to share your amazing journey of the bread recipes with others? I would like to have a copy please. MaryAnn🥰😲
don't count your chickens, before they HATCH. Shoppers can't depend on anything BUT the grocery bill! 🤔
And what’s the point?
Do the colors represent “use by” or when it was put on the shelves? Thank you so much for this info.
This wouldn’t work at our store as the are all just white thes.
I have seen green and white tags as well..what days are those?
learned that in highschool
I freeze my Bread because I live alone and only shop once a month. You can freeze half gallon milk also 🤔😲🙏💕
Candee
it has a date on the twist tie bags do to 🤔
Ok
Is the color code for the EXIRPATION date or the date it was put out on the rack?
Tuesday clip is green Friday clip is white at least tell the full coverage
47 an a half thank you for letting me know 😂
thank you much ,but love my own bread
Not all bread companies use that code.
Well you know the bread has expiration dates on them right?
I'm confused. So what does the color code mean? Is it the last day they can sell the bread or is it the day the bread arrived to the store?
exactly but if today was Saturday that could be from last Saturday so you have to look at dates not just colors😂😂
They do not get bread in that frequently
I'm never going to remember that. 😆
I've worked at a bakery for many years n have never seen this. not all companies even use the plastic closure. New to me.
Do all stores use the same color codes?
Wow i never thought about the color code
Have you noticed that bread doesn't seem to spoil as much as it did in the past? I keep bread in the fridge for weeks and it’s still fine. Of course, my grandmother kept bread on top of the refrigerator. It never spoiled either, but there were several people to feed, so she never had it long enough to spoil.
