as someonea who previously worked in service, specifically restaurant tipping is nice, sometimes needed if over 6 people. but tipping for basic quality is so weird. i dont get it. if we dont talk why would i tip for ur service? tipping is a cultural tjing thing fs.

tipping is how serving make money their pathetic wages are much less than any other if you think I'm wrong ask a waitress at a diner or as the pizza boy it's no joke in one hour of working they don't make enough for a gal of milk and a loaf of bread together and that is not a lie server wages are 3 or 4 dollars less than minimum wage if you don't give at least 5 bucks or won't pay for the gas to bring you your food no joke

Tipping has gotten way outta hand. Back in April, I was at an airport in Arkansas. Watched a teenager get coffee that was made by a robotic arm. Asked for a min 15% tip. Fxcking outrageous.

Tips has gotten so out of hand in this country! There are so many places that have that tip option on the pay pads now! Just going through a drive through they ask for tips now! Crazy!

I don't use food delivery companies or even restaurant direct delivery. I've seen too much shit and although I had a very trusting nature when I was younger, I've learned people aren't as trustworthy as I once believed. People may say I'm still taking chances in restaurants, but at least no one is sitting alone with my food for 15+ minutes before I receive it. There's no telling what kind of day they've had or what their mindset is while they're sitting with my food. If I'm not in the position to pick up my food myself, I'll scrounge up something myself in my home.
