I was with my ex-boyfriend in his convertible corvette going out for a nice dinner one warm summer evening with the top down and I was wearing a pretty top with an above-the-knee skirt. We were stopped at a traffic light, talking to eachother, when suddenly something dark & large dropped out of the night sky, directly onto the inside of one of my thighs and started crawling upward‼️😱 I could NOT see what it was & I was trying to jump up & out of the car, but I had my seat belt on & I wasn't getting very far! 😆 I just kept squirming & my boyfriend reached over & unlatched my seat belt & I jumped out onto the street, shaking & swatting myself. I looked like a crazy lady! Turns out, it was one of those huge Palmetto bugs. When we saw it we both started laughing hysterically! They are harmless & don't bother me normally, but I had no idea what was in my lap & I had a minor freak out.

these Republicans love to spout biblical terms and imagine biblical things can happen if they say it will, yet the vast majority of the maga crowd are anything but Christians. hypocrites yes but religious no. how can you be religious and worship dipsticks like trump and Kirk. 13 decipher my foot. stop blasphemous talk regarding Christian beliefs. this politician just wanted to blow smoke up donnie bone spurs ass,so that when or if he ran for reelection he'd have dumb donnie's backing.

That's why I shake everything out before I wear it or make my bed! I had a brown recluse in my pajama pants and didn't know it... felt a small sting right on my left ass cheek! 🥴 An ER visit later, some lancing with a scalpel, necrotic skin removed, and some gauze left inside the wound to let it drain.... absolutely fkn sucked but it's all good now but a pain I will NEVER forget. I've got a small scar but it could've been a lot worse!! 😬

one time I put my socks on and then felt a good pinch.kinda didn't think much of it but I was hungover and in a huge rush. after work when I took socks off there was a weird brown slime. and a lot of it. by that evening it was very obvious it was something poisonous because my toes turned color and the skin started flaking off. it lasted for about a week.whatever it was it got grounded up to mush cuz I couldn't make nothing out. 8 hr day construction so it was put through the shoe grinder

I learned all bugs HATE powder, ANY POWDER... So yea, powder got put in all the shoes immediately after being taken off and put up, for many years. A PSA about recluse and wolf spider bites: a single, wetted, nonbuffered, cheap, asprin and duct tape ( actually worked best) over it & left alone for 3 days, completely cured 6 of those bites. Not even the bite marks remained. It was an old wives tale type of things to cure warts, especially stubborn mothers warts. Got one on my hand first & my doc asked if I had been to the beach lately and sure enough, Gulf Shores Alabama gave me a souvenir. We froze and scraped and froze them and the main one just would not go away, until someone told me about the wetted asprin thing and that finished it off. Fast forward many years to these bites, I honestly was sick of medical stuff and just did not want to go and recalled the asprin thing, reasoning that it would get and keep the fever out of the skin, much like Tylenol did for sunburns, no fever and

When my daughter was an infant, we lived in an old, old house. We put her crib in the only room that had a heat source ( it was an old wall heater.). I looked in the closet in her room for my favorite cowboys boots and put them on; only to discover a mouse had gotten into those tall boots ! I screamed, woke the baby up, she started crying, I did a little " mouse in the boot" dance, soothed the baby, and by then the mouse was long gone --- probably traumatized for life between my scream and her crying. 😆😆😆😆

that's a booger shoe bug and they bite and pinch to inject venom and it hurts bad and you get an infection from the bite that you have to get an antibiotic for , if you get bitten by one with a mint green dot on its horn you only have an hour to start treatment or you will go blind

did you know that shoes are called shoes because when they were first invented, so many critters and bugs would get in them that people would say "shoo shoo" when they went to put them on

Never leave your shoes near an old, blind dog, either. My husband kicked off his foundry shoes next to the dog's piddle pad. When he put them on the following morning, one was full of urine. Not a pleasant start to the day.

My special needs son saw something similar on TV one time. From then on I always had to check your shoes to make sure nothing was in them. No they were not outside. They were only inside.
