I was with my ex-boyfriend in his convertible corvette going out for a nice dinner one warm summer evening with the top down and I was wearing a pretty top with an above-the-knee skirt. We were stopped at a traffic light, talking to eachother, when suddenly something dark & large dropped out of the night sky, directly onto the inside of one of my thighs and started crawling upwardβΌοΈπ± I could NOT see what it was & I was trying to jump up & out of the car, but I had my seat belt on & I wasn't getting very far! π I just kept squirming & my boyfriend reached over & unlatched my seat belt & I jumped out onto the street, shaking & swatting myself. I looked like a crazy lady! Turns out, it was one of those huge Palmetto bugs. When we saw it we both started laughing hysterically! They are harmless & don't bother me normally, but I had no idea what was in my lap & I had a minor freak out.
Thatβs one of my biggest fears along with one falling off the shower curtain on me lol thatβs my one nightmare.

I used to hang my clothes outside to dry especially in the spring and summer and early fall. I had put on a pair of stretch tight fitting jeans and something kept scratching at me so when I took them off I noticed a wasp on the inside of my jeans. Luckily I was not stung.

Once my coworkers clocked in and we were just having small talk before I clocked out. We talked for a good 15 min, he walked around a little bit. Then right before I was about to leave he started complaining about something sharp in his boot. He took his shoe off and banged it on the ground and a whole roach fell out, alive and well πππ I screamed so loud lmbo, my customers were ready to run out the store! He had to step on it a few times to kill it. The kid drove about 20 minutes to work, was on the clock for about 30 minutes before he ever noticed! Just a huge fear of mine! But he also said he lives in the country and they tend to leave their shoes outside. And I still to this day will never understand why. I rather smell funky shoes vs possibly putting my foot next to bugs lol
When I was a pre-teen, my big sis had a in-ground pool with chain link fence ... it was SOP for us to hang wet towels & bathing suits over the fence to dry... We were VERY diligent in shaking out our stuff BEFORE putting suits on, especially during earwig season!!! ... Excited to get into the pool, I did a quick shake and put my suit on... And then IT happened! Missed an earwig that was hiding in the crotch of the bathing suit! OUCHIE OUCHIE OUCHIE! almost broke the record on "fastest removal of a bathing suit in an emergency" ... that was decades ago, and I still remember like it was yesterday!!!
I have neuropathy in my feet. Canβt feel my toes. One night, I took off my shoe and I had killed a poor toad by walking on him all day. I was mortified! Always check my shoes before putting them on now π€.
You have to be careful, seriously because in the South we have brown recluse spiders that love the inside of shoes! We donβt leave our shoes outside or in the garage for that reason!!! Because they are the most venomous of all spiders and they break down your muscles tissue and ruin your day!!!

l was 3 yrs old leaning on my mom's lap , early summer evening on our farm home's balcony...when suddenly, l felt something like nails on my stomach...my Daddy has paid attention and pulled up my dress up and grabbed a huge bat that was grabbing my stomach's area. l haven't forgotten it. l was very lucky to have had a wonderful Daddy. π€£ last night I opened the bathroom window to have a cigarette (I didn't go out on the balcony because of the MASSIVE spider & web)& in flies, what I later figured out was the biggest moth I've ever seen, it scared the shit outta me!! It kept flying into my face, hair & chest& I was freaking because I still hadn't had a chance to see wth it was!!π³ FINALLY it landed on the wall & I felt a little better!!π© This month was about 2.5x's bigger than a monarch butterfly π¦, it's top wings & body were gray & the under wings looked just like a monarch!! I've NEVER seen or knew a moth got that big & it was kinda scary looking with its big bulging eyes!! I truly hope I never have another encounter with one!!
A wolf spider bit my face once while I was sleeping. I thought it was a pimple and it did pop but it kept getting bigger and bigger. I went to the doctor and found out the spider gave me Mersa or how ever you spell it. Couldnt sleep on my side for almost 2 months if I did all the puss in my face wouldβve leaked into my neck and suffocated me while I was sleeping
Whenever I do this I stomp on my own shoes before I put them on or shove my foot in really hard hoping I smash whatever in there π
