My father was an abusive alcoholic and still is except the difference is I'm grown now and don't have to take his abuse. I really didn't have to take it then but nobody would stand up for me so the abuse continued til I moved out of the house. You have no right to put your hands on another human being unless they are hurting you or someone else js.....
Man, I hate to see this! A good, loving, supportive dad is one of the most powerful and grounding forces on the planet...and a bad dad can haunt a child into adulthood. I wish everyone had a dad like mine. He's ten times a better man than me. Very strong. Very stable. Very gentle. Good moral Dad's are vital to a healthy society. I wish this young man success in life...it's a tough world out there with no dad.
This needed to happen to this man! You know how many years this young man had to wait seeing his mama, family and even himself beat up, and abused? That dad had it COMING! GREAT JOB YOUNG MAN giving him what he's given everyone else all these years!

Ma'am if your husband is abusive to his son, why have you let it go on, and not do anything to correct it. That means he has abused you also and you're afraid. You all need therapy. Sad , but this is common and the child is retaliating.
I'm seeing a son that's had enough of his dad beating on him. my husband hit his dad one dad I stopped him from hurting him. he abused all his kids and had them taken away from their mother because she left him. I still wouldn't let him beat on him .

I've had to fight my dad several times
it would be or rather it would have to be something super abusive for a father to do for a son to ever lift his hand in anger towards a parent super abusive otherwise a son or daughter should never raise their hand to a parent if the situation isn't that grave of a problem. I respected my father once when he had me by the neck he really wasn't applying very much pressure to my neck he was more or less trying to hold me in place nevertheless even though I was angry for him doing that I never raised my hand to hit my father I realized that I was a problem child and that's what some kids these days need to realize that if they are problematic they should step back for a minute before ever taking steps like this towards a parent again I say that it has to be a super abusive situation to ever raise your hand to a parent because it's simply isn't something you should do ever.
