this girl is the greatest gymnast of all time period. That Simon biles is very very good but not better then Nadia.

Yes she was better than any of today's girls, in fact most of them were better than Biles could have ever been. They had much less sophisticated equipment than what is used today, and they did moves that were more complicated than today's moves and have been banned from competition because they are to dangerous for today's girls to perform.
The padding, springs are so much more enhanced today than they were back then. Can you imagine what Nadia and Olga could have done with the technology used in the today’s equipment. Yes all good gymnasts. But it really apples to apples

We shouldn’t diminish her talent because Simone is amazing. In her time Nadia was celebrated. They are grime different periods and I’d wager to say they’d both probably be amazed by each other. Can’t we hype them both? Sometimes the comments are so hateful for no real reason.

I think the back story is that a person in the stands tried to screw up her performance with a bright flash. it didn't work though.
That could have blinded her and impacted her performance. Wow that was bright.
