Grew up in Chicago and we used to water ski in rougher weather than that 🤔 10 miles out on the lake .

we used to body surf off of Norton shores and the opposite coast of Lake Michigan it's between Muskegon and Spring Lake I have been scared though off of Singer Island a little North of Palm Beach and when we found the debris of ship rope it's actually called gating cables where you walk from the ship onto the shore on this ramp I told them " I'm afraid because I think we can get knocked out in the debris I see ". they thought I was docile until I recognized lightning flags and shark flags up off of Palm Beach to apprehend you from swimming and the Coast guard and Palm Beach police came and asked us nicely to get off of the beach NOW because lightning does travel....
They live in Chicago...you know they aren't bright people.
