My father tithed for years. I have a problem with all the preachers like Osteen, Parsley, Falwell, Roberts and Jim Baker living in mansions and high on the hog. I choose to give to my friend who is having trouble meeting her monthly bills as a senior citizen. At least I know where my money is going.
Tithe is not money in the Bible, nor do you get blessed from giving it. Your church and pastors are robbing you. “Will a man rob God” and the people if you don’t flip the tables over lol

I have been a church treasurer & bookkeeper. Churches have bills to pay such as electricity, water, heat, air conditioning, maintenance, the purchase of the building, & so much more. Dedicated churches also donate money to other ministries monthly, to foreign missions & to the needy. Yes, pastors do need to be paid for their services. People who have never worked closely with the ministry have no idea how much time, physically, mentally, & and financially, the pastors spend meeting the needs of the people. They are on call 24/7. I'm sure there are a few who misuse money & take advantage of the people. They will have to stand before God & give account for everything they have said & done, just as we all will give account for our own words & actions. It's better to do & give too much than not enough. God blesses us, not because of how much we give, but the spirit in which we give. He knows our hearts & our intentions. He is a God of love, compassion, & forgiveness. 🙏💖

GOD doesn’t care if you are helping pay for a corrupt church. In fact when Jesus referred to the church he said it was the people. The church is worshippers coming together not the actual buildings or the hierarchal church priests, pastors etc…. When Jesus preached he went and preached outside with people gathered around, he was a threat to the Romans and Jews power.

My old preacher was caught stealing 30k. Fired. Next one was my ex's dad, was a cross dresser and tapes were found of some very disturbing stuff. He left and is now in charge of another churge in AZ. Last church sent me a letter wanting my income tax return for a gymnasium. Never went back to church. Done with it.

They wont/wont pressure you to contribute, but if the other people in the church see her not putting in anything all of a sudden shes being talked about behind her back, everyone gossiping about why she can't avoid it..... smdh
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 I have a hard time with this because I don’t think that people should have to contribute any kind of money to go to a church and listen to a sermon to be united to listen to a sermon that is supposed to pull people together and bring us back into reality. Why do people make us pay? Why isn’t expected thing that we have to contribute money to the church? I never have understood that and I think there’s a lot of thunders out there that are making it hard for the smaller churches to make money because a lot of people abuse this privilege to be able to pull money into the church that’s non-taxable.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The Church needs money to operate and many churches have outreach programs that need funding,... feeding the hungry, shelter for an abused family, ministry to the sick and disabled and much, much more. I agree with this tithing but not to the point of the pastor's wife and himself dropped out with gold or driving a top of the line Mercedes that to me is theft of God's money to help others. You go into the ministry to serve the Lord not a get rich scheme. Thank you
