Should have pranked the older one. The youngest always feels a step behind bc they are younger. Then her emotional response gets laughed at. Don't model bully behavior.
Why do men have to bully kids? You know her heart was broken by her father as he and her older sister laughed at her. Bullies suck and this was a poor example of a joke.
That little one needs to join her local chapter of the “little sisters fight back” club. There she would have learned to not cry and just wipe the ketchup off on her sister’s shirt.

If I did this to my child & saw that my child was visibly upset over it I wouldn't just sit there & laugh. I would apologize & explain it was supposed to be funny & didn't think you'd be upset. Then I'd probably let my child smear the ketchup all over my face to let them get me back & make some silly faces after in hopes of turning the crying into laughter. There are ways to make an oooops into a more positive & funny moment. I know because I've been there & I've been successful.

No that’s just sad. I get bonding with your other kid but putting down your youngest is mean. It’s okay to make dad jokes but this just didn’t seem like the time nor place to do so. The youngest already looked upset and look as if she felt out. It’s just as a parent you should really pay attention to how BOTH your kids feelings. Because you never know how this could potentially affect them in the future.

as the youngest in the family, this is normal and kids will grow up and get it later encourage this behavior and stop being scared to let your kids get some life experience. soft parents that think this is bad, truly need to realize they learn now later they won't fall for tricks so easily
