Absolutely Awesome! Too many children drown every year. Teach them early to swim and save their lives. 🙏

In a way, this is how i taught my daughter how to swim. My daughter was like a fish. I gave my daughter her baths they would last a minimum of an hour or more. i took her to the pool twice a week from 8 months. Just b4 her third birthday, i decided to take her to the competition pool. I didn't tell her what i was about to do. I just held her in the middle and tossed her forward. She took off like a jet and swam to the other end. After several of these, i took to the very end of the pool to see if she could make it to the other end. It took a bit longer, but she made it. I tgen gave her formal lessons to swim competively for s year. She started on her swim team at 5, and she became a champion in freestyle, butterfly, and breaststroke through HS.👍🥰

Guaranteed, nobody has ever learned how to swim from this. maybe the baby will swim, but he doesn't know how to swim. when he's five years old, he'll still be struggling. you're not actually doing anything.

It's how I was taught. In a professional setting by instructors when I was less than two. They throw you in and are right there with you.

Fun fact: Babies, breath hold and try to swim by instinct. They don't quite know how to turn over and breathe. Floating is easy to teach and this baby is already trained to orient himself. Letting them swim frequently retains their abilities. If this pisses you off, you just don't know any better...and most people don't.

I was taught this way, it's scary to watch, but they learn fast at this age. 👍

My husband taught all five of our kids to swim that way. I would always be so nervous when they hit the water but he taught them well.

the child was trained to do this. If he falls in the water, he will turn over and float! And no, they don't do a sink or swim method. Where is your common sense?

I disagree with this because the lungs could get full of water very fast, and the baby could die. This is really not a good way to learn how to swim.

That's how I taught mine. They were a little bit older but I just through them in the creek and said sink or swim.

🤷 it looks bad, but better than pulling a drowned toddler out of a ditch. He'll learn to overcome that initial panic.

If you wasn’t there to get that child it would not float very long it would drown.

these people obviously are not aware of dry drowning. They should really be careful just throwing someone in. it leads to inhaling and swallowing water .smh.

My first son did that to himself! I was holding him in the shallow end, and he kicked and pushed until he got out of my arms. Dropped to the bottom, popped up, and took off for the deep end. He did well then, and he just recently taught his own daughter to swim. 🥰

What happens when the baby breaths in water during that first struggle they can drown in a teaspoon of water in the lungs !
