I am so glad I am white. and not to be mean BUT women of color go thru so much to maintain their hair..And its soooo expensive! I did a cosmetology course and I ALWAYS asked to do the black women's hair when we did walk in's b/c I wanted to learn how. It's ALOT OF WORK and so expensive

I love the fact that we black women have so many options and not everyone that wears wigs and wigs wear them because we don’t have hair actually these styles are called protective styles, our hair is not made to be washed and fried everyday the more the keep our hands out of our hair is what makes our hair healthy keeping our scalp clean and conditioned ends clipped! Me and my daughters wear wigs and we all have long healthy hair and when I want to wear my natural hair I do so, It’s because we choose to and some have medical issues and lost their hair so they wear wigs it’s not for looks it makes us feel good, we’re not doing this for competition it’s simply because it’s our choice and that automatically makes us the bells of the balls🫶🏽

Why not just take better care of your own hair so you don't have to buy fake hair? A quick wash every week, a deep conditioner, moisturizer, brush thoroughly every day, and lay your hair down with a scarf at night equals hair growth..

I had alopecia twice. Both times after severe illnesses. it disturbs you to say the least. I appreciate my hair alot more now. That child had hair and a beautiful face. It wasn't necessary. She is a beautiful person.
