When I had my daughter my mother in law said she looked like my husband's brother, what?? Also came in the room reeking of perfume and was mad that I didn't want her to hold her until a nurse told her she couldn't, too much perfume for the baby. Very rocky relationship after that.

Did they live far apart? Because how would she not see her? Why would the family panic because she was pregnant? I know when I was pregnant I wanted to talk to my mom a lot and I’d visit her because we didn’t live far from each other.

When our daughter went into Labor (40 minutes away!) with TWINS the baby's father didn't even call us until AFTER she delivered! I was so upset, as of course, we had hoped to BE THERE WHEN THEY WERE BORN! (Twins run in my husband's family; he is a twin, and we now have 4 sets of twins in our extended family)!! We rushed to see our tiny granddaughters (premies, each at 3 lbs & a few ounces, each!!). They were in the hospital for a few days, until they gained some weight, and thankfully, are both beautiful & healthy!
