for those who don't know in setemper 2009 riders on the accelerator roller coaster at Knotts berry farm were launched out from the station when a lauch cable snapped mid ride the steel cable whipped backwards through the train sticking passengers in the face and the upper bodies .witnesses described hearing loud bang followed by the screams of the riders as the cable lashed.
