that's the way our female bulldog came to us she was really timid I'd try to pet her and she would hunker down and blink her eyes anticipating to get hit it seemed like. I felt bad for her I'd rub her neck and comfort her and now about 4 months later she's a little monster but In a great way,she runs jumps even roughhouses with our male bulldog. she's such a beautiful good girl I love them both so very much ❤️🥰
