that wasn't 99 cheeseburgers. that was actually 99 quarter pounders with cheese. and the team I work with would have respectfully told them to come back the next day and to call in advance to give the team enough time to make sure that we had the supplies to make that much to make that order.

Decline order if it's 1-2 hours before closing... workers don't deserve dat chit.....

They should have refused the order. Cruel management. Clock out and go home and kell the manager that he can make them. It's not worth it!

I worked at McDonald's. 99 hamburgers will take 20 minutes. geeze!😲🤔😆

On large grills like McDonald's uses it doesn't take very long to make 99 hamburgers. Surely not two hours.

having worked at McDonald's in my youth, I know that it doesn't take 2 hours to make 99 burgers. Even if he were the only cook on duty.

Been there, done that. Didn't do 99 but 55 in 15 mins with 3 people. Yes everything was fresh off the grill. If u have the right manager & crew it's easy.

You suck it up and do your job. That's what it means to have a job. I worry so for this world, when so many want for the basics, and those with the basics and more complain at having to do what is expected.

Sounds like a prank... and I would treat it that way ... imagine all that work, prep, everything's put away ... you have to drag it out... cook ... AND you don't have any money yet.... you finish ... it's taken too long ... some of the food is cold and the customer refuses or wants it re cooked ... that would be a giant mess ... just say.... no can do.

You can see the big difference between the older generation(who would go on and finish the job they were paid to do. Hopefully this is not an everyday problem. However, the younger generation goes off like the idiot in the ad.(wants to go home, wants to act like a child and throw a fit, and possibly even quit his job) hopefully this isn’t a prank and sometimes(shit happens) where do you think that freeze came from? But I will agree that people should have a little more respect than to call in with an order like that right before closing time.

I don't understand the problem I've worked McDonald's when I was a teenager and then in my twenties I came back as a manager I work closing shift all the time usually we preclosed okay that massive order that would be pretty big but a 24 turn lay on the old system you be done in 15 minutes 20 at the most

avator

they can make those burgers in less than 10 minutes at mcdonald's, this is just another reason why people are wanting minimum wage to be $15 an hour when no one deserves it

That's the way business is. It would not have taken 2 hrs to make that many hamburgers. All they had to do is close on time and have a couple of workers continue making the hamburgers, and the rest start closing. He got excited for nothing.

I would’ve said no even if it took five minutes. I know this kind of behavior seems insignificant, but it is. Because when you’re getting off work, you wanna go home and see your kids and your family ! This person didn’t give a shit about either so I just would’ve said we’re closed McDonald’s won’t go out of business for 200 bucks🙋‍♀️

I worked at a wing joint and while shutting everything down, , a tour bus pulled up and 40 hungry travelers walked in? it was a slow night but everything was to go and it took about 35 minutes and they gave us $50 tip

back in 1972 when I worked at McDonald's we had 4 buses come up 10 minutes before closing. We served them and closed one hour later. I guess different time, attitude and respect
