In an October 2015 interview with BET, actor Anthony Mackie said Donald Trump was an "easy sell" as a presidential candidate because "you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing". Mackie added, "I think if you're a 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' candidate, people would identify with that". He later clarified on Twitter that the comments were "a bad attempt at a joke" and not an endorsement of Trump. He was Not joking… He is unintelligent and irrelevant !
