Absolutely. It helps them learn responsibility and prepares them for life in the real world.
Yes, and the parents should put that money in the bank or stash it away to give the adult children it times of “need” (a house, car repairs, medical expenses ect.)that way it doesn’t come out of the parents pocket anymore!
