My daughter didn't that, she ran away and sat on the back stairs.She was so sad it almost broke my heart. Had to stand firm. She wanted the dog to run away with her, he went out sat with her for 5 minutes then scratched on the door to come back in 😆

My son did that when he was 4 . He walked out the door with his Mickey Mouse. He got to the corner of the street and came back crying. I asked him why he came back.He cries because I can't cross the street by myself.

Me & my sister neighbor ran away from home at 7 & 6 years old in my little red wagon. My mother made the best gumbo in the whole wide world. My mother had company so we took some food & clothes. When the food was gone & the street lights cut off. We went back to my house. When we arrived back home, we realized they never knew we were gone! Needless to say, we never did that again! Those were the good old days. LOL 💕
I would never tell my child bye when she is obviously in distress, give her a hug and kiss then find a more effective way to get her to clean her room…. let her think she is cleaning her room because it’s her room and give her an allowance. There is no free labor🤔

I ran away one time when mom said I was 4. I packed my shit into a paper bag. and left!! we lived on a block that was just a LG circle and since I wasn't allowed to cross the street I walked around the circle about 4 times before one of the the neighbors gave me a couple cookies and convinced me to go home and walked me home .5
My daughter complained about cleaning her room and kept it messy so I made a pallet in a corner of the hallway, told her she was to sleep there until she was ready to keep her room clean. It lasted for one night and I didn't have to worry about that anymore.
Y'all know damn well that baby isn't going anywhere! She's doing what kids do and that's guilt tripping. Her mom is teaching her responsibility and the child took it upon HERSELF to "fake running away"... I can tell THAT is not gonna get her outta cleaning up her room. Now, parent your kids the way you want to and let this mom continue on with her way of parenting...I like it 😉
I told my mother that I was running away when I was 7 and she said you don’t got to run away you can walk away so I went and hid and she never came to look for me and eventually I came out of hiding and eat and went to sleep and she never said a word about it and I never did that again 😂

my brother and I tried this and my mom fed us and walked us to the door. she made us leave our little bags at the door. she told us to buy new stuff because she was giving our stuff to the next set of kids. we stayed home.😲
