Too many people develop allergy to metal after ear piercing, much better to wait until 10 or so. Yes, I was 21 and big itchy reaction to jewelry, watches, and buttons on jeans, lasts for days.

No one should inflict that pain fleeting or not on a child! It’s just going to cause pain for the child and more work for the parent to take care of the babies ears so they don’t get infected!

I wish I had had this experience. When I was 13 my nana got my ears pierced for me. I had wanted them pierced for years. Ny mom was so angry. This is what she said to me: "pierced ears are only for gypsies and whores". I am now 69 and have never forgotten this.💔 💕
I would not do that to a young child! That is inflicting pain on the child they do not need just for vanity! Let the child if they want pierced ears when they are old enough to decide for themselves! To me that is child abuse just for vanity!

MY MOTHER-IN-LAW TRIED TO PIERCE MY 8 MONTH OLD EARS AT JEWELER STORE, I SAID NO I MEAN NO SHE GOT MAD IT WAS A CUSTOM, I TOLD CUSTOM OR NOT NO IM THE ONE TAKING CARE OF MY DAUGHTER I WAS AFRAID I MIGHT TEAR EARRINGS OFF ALSO FROM EXPERIENCE AS 3 YR OLD MY EARS PIERCED, I WAS BRUSHING MY HAIR, RIP EARRING OUT , STITCHES IN EAR LOBE WAIT TILL THERE OLDER THERE CHOICE 💕
