Stick your finger in the potatoe and put just a very little bit in his mouth. Just to get a taste. If you have creamed corn do the same but no kernels. A word to the wise- if you are going to start feeding baby food, baby food in a jar or table food, do it for breakfast. That way if it doesn’t agree with baby’s stomach they have all day to dispose of it. And you both can sleep at night.

Mashed potatoes are a wonderful food for babies to begin to eat. The texture is perfect to begin to swallow and flavor is pleasant for the young palate. My daughters loved therm.
