Oh the memories! we had a huge wind storm when I was a kid in Eastern Oregon. There was tumbleweeds everywhere. my sister and I went all over the neighborhood collecting them and brought them home.They stick together like velcro. we used them to build a huge house. It had multiple rooms with windows. and we used blankets to make beds and old sheets as carpet and curtains. we worked on that for HOURS. We were so proud of ourselves and had the BEST day. When our mother saw it she was mad that we drug them into the yard and now her and dad would have to burn them all. smh. Dad was impressed at what we accomplished but agreed they had to be burnt. 😢 but we had a blast building it and we did get to play in it for a couple days before dad's day off.

Grew up in the desert in central Washington State. They were everywhere. Fun to build forts with them! Moved when I was 10 so I haven't seen one since.

When I was growing up this was such a common occurrence near Albuquerque, NM. we don't see it much now that there's so much development and therefore less tumbleweeds. I guess this would be a little weird for people that didn't grow up seeing it.
fun fact : there is a young man that make MILLIONS renting out tumble weeds to movie studios/ they don't need maintenance n can use over n over again / jst store away THOUSANDS in a warehouse...BRILLIANT 🤔😆
