After the first murder, he was released. Therein lies the problem. You murdered someone, behind by where you stay until you die if you’re not giving the death penalty. Why do innocent victims and their families have to suffer because these murderers are let back out on the streets. It makes no sense.

Anthony Kirkland is a convicted serial killer whose crimes shook Ohio. Between 1987 and 2009, he murdered at least five females, including teenage girls as young as 13. He targeted women and young girls, ending their lives by strangulation. After each crime, he set their bodies on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence and avoid detection. His first victim was his girlfriend in 1987. After serving time for that murder, he was released — only to continue his crimes. His victims included Casonya Montgomery, Esme Kenney, Kimya Rolison, and Mary Jo Newton. He was finally arrested in 2009, confessed to multiple killings, and is now on death row in Ohio. This case is one of the most horrific in the state’s history. It reminds us why some names must never be forgotten — not because of the killer, but because of the lives he stole. Rest in peace to the victims. Your names live on. 🕊️
