All of the times listed—11:59 PM, 12:59 AM, 12:55 PM, and 11:55 AM—are valid on a 12-hour clock. None of them is “not a real time.” 12 AM denotes midnight (the very start of the day). 12 PM denotes noon (midday). Times like 12:59 AM and 12:55 PM are simply one hour before 1 AM and one hour after noon, respectively.

He's gaslighting her. Trying to make her look stupid. He, in fact, is the one that looks stupid. I would love to know which one he thinks isn't a real time

if you use the 24 hour clock, or military time, the times would actually be A. 2359 B.1259 C. 055 D. 1155 other than that every time is correct unless the clock in the kitchen is off when he asked her the question.

he didn't specify whether military or standard time. if he said military time he is correct. however he didn't making him wrong.

Well, time doesn't actually exist. It's a man-made construct. You only have the present moment.
