There were two factors at play. The police man is black, and the security is under trained.

The security guard was correct..!!! What authentication did the cop show to prove he was actually a cop...??? Any real criminal would have little difficulty in obtaining a cop outfit and the acutriments. Punishment of the security guard was, in my opinion, a travesty. If it turned out the "cop" was really not a cop and the security guard did nothing...everyone would be bitching that the security person was lazy and incompetent.

The security guard is a federal employee, and in a federal building, he has president over the local officer! Thr officers should be reprimanded if not fired. for interference with a federal employee!

that's BS, THE SECURITY OFFICER WAS DOING HIS JOB, THE COP SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR TAKING CARE OF HIS PERSONAL AFFAIRS WHILE ON DUTY.

WHY...do we have armed security @ IRS? Glad security was arrested; lucky he wasn't shot (pulling a gun on law enforcement), he didn't disclose or disscribe the scene & "man" or threat clearly. Hopefully fired!!

Black officer trying to be disruptive and was visually pissed off, you don't walk into any government office asking personal questions received in a letter asking be answered by the building security guards, release the guard he was doing his job

We feel that the officer should have just surrendered his weapon until leaving the IRS facility the IRS have strict policies concerning all weapons they dont even allow civilians too possess smart phones inside there buildings.

I'm soooo tired of the race card being played every time something doesn't go the way they want. And as for the security guard, I worked in security when I was younger and most of those guys have Barney Fife syndrome, they think their little tin badges make them REAL MEN.

Understanding! What needs to be understood is that the same attitude exist’s within the Correctional Officer’s Division! They believe They have a greater Authority! I am a Former Wife of an Officer, who revealed the difficulty of being who He(They) was/are! They face Gun, knives, weapon’s, etc while making Arrest’s only to face the Offender’s being Released even before The Officer’s had the Opportunity to Finish the Arrest Report! So that We -the-People understand the Difficulty Officer’s face Day to Day & that We-the-People begin having a Greater Understanding. The IRS Security should not have Exited through that door(Post)! That could have ended Badly if it was not for the Officer’s Patience & being familiar with Stupidity! The Stupidity They face every Day of Their Long Fought Right to Wear a Uniform of the Street Squad Patrol. The Security Guard needed to Stand Down since a Law Enforcement Officer has the Right to enter any place of Residence for Official Business!

It’s difficult to accept that the armed, uniformed police officer’s visit to the IRS building was merely about asking a casual question regarding a letter. Walking in with a badge, a sidearm, and the authority of his uniform automatically sets a tone of pressure—if not intimidation—for federal employees inside their workplace. If his only goal was to clarify correspondence, far less confrontational options were available: a phone call, a written inquiry, securing his firearm in his vehicle, or simply seeking legal advice. That’s why this incident feels like more than a surface-level misunderstanding. Framing it as just a Black officer versus an underpaid, undertrained White security guard misses the deeper issue. At its core, this raises questions of authority, power imbalance, and the perception of coercion when law enforcement officers use their official presence in dealings with federal staff. His decision to appear in person, armed and in uniform, deserves careful scrutiny—and perhaps a closer look at his true intentions.
