I have Lupus and got very sick and packed on weight from all the medications. I used to do both photography and runway modeling. Nothing major, just did it for fun mostly. anyway, my son was right around 4 and we were driving down the street and he was telling me that when he grew up, he was going to marry an Easy, breezy, beautiful covergirl. Then he looked me up and down and said he wished I could be an easy breezy beautiful cover girl and I asked why I couldn't. His reasons was, " because you don't have any skinny on you." I literally had to pull off to the side of the road I was laughing so hard.

Mom took my brother to the grocery store. He was white white blonde tow head anyway our dad was a chief in the navy. While in the store a black man in a chiefs uniform walked past and my brother at 13 months put his hands up and said excitedly daddy. My mom smiled at that poor guy. I’m sure he was like nope not me.

I really dont think the kid meant any harm, he probably wanted his sibling to look like him, and likely doesnt have the capacity that most adults are placing on a child. He is from a mixed family. I doubt he hates Black people. Kids say things without knowing how someone could potentially be offended by it. Stop putting so much responsibility on a child.

"Kids say the darnedest things!" - Art Linkletter...yes, I'm dating myself...one of the first, if not first, talk shows (1952-1969), Art Linkletter's House Party, and he always had a panel of 5-6 kids on his show everyday and talk to them about kid stuff. I was just a kid myself and watched it with my mom in the late '50s/early '60s...I always looked forward to him talking with the kids - kids my age.
