Let me just say this: As someone who grew up with an unstable mother who liked to hit me just to embarrass me or because she couldn't get a fix I had no choice sometimes but to fist fight my mother. Of course, I didn't want to, but I had to defend myself. I had my toddler in my hand, and my mother started fighting me until her boyfriend pulled her away. All I'm saying is you never know the situation behind closed doors. I hated to disrespect my mother, but what was I supposed to do? At this time, I didn't understand the drug problem or mental health problems. I just knew I couldn't keep allowing it.
