in one apartment I lived in , the landlord threatened to evict me when I complained about an upstairs neighbor's kid running circles above my bedroom for 8 - 10 hours a day while I worked nights .. I told her ,"I moved in here first of all the tenants, there's such a law of 'quiet enjoyment' that helps protect 2nd shift people , my 3rd floor neighbor is sick of the noise too .. and if I have to live over an unfinished basement apartment another winter , the board of health won't like seeing the frost that forms on my apartment floors !"
