Disney has become a horrible experience Average family of 4 visiting 3 of the theme parks over 2 days with meals and 1 night Hotel stay was well over $3400.00. That is the last time I ever go there. Universal by contrast was $2600 for 3 parks over 2 days with 1 night hotel stay. We spent a week on vacation visiting Disney and Universal and my wife and kids absolutely loved Universal over Disney hands down.
And you didn't need to pay for overnight accomodations!!. It was much more affordably priced when I took my kids there 30+ years ago, but now it is very commercialized. And expensive. I agree, the food is terrible. Went in April for my 70th birthday. It didn't resemble the Disneyland I last went to in my 30s. Bummer!!

That's absolutely ridiculous!! I took my 2 children to Disney World Orlando 1987. We drove down from Atlanta to Orlando. We stayed at a motel not anywhere near the Park. We stayed for 4 hours one day and 4 hours the next day. Parking was $8.00. Park entrance for all four of us was $50.00 per day. With food at the park for both days we spend about $400.00. for everything. We decided it definitely was not worth it. After that we just went to Destin Beach. And our favorite was Jeykell Island Georgia.
I’m so glad that I never took our sons to Disney when they were younger or even now! Any parents with any common sense would know that there’s better ways to spend time with their children instead of spending money to keep supporting these Rich Business Owners!

In 1975, when I was 8, it cost my parents $245.00. In 2018, it cost me and my family $2,400.00. Haven't gone back and don't plan on it.
yeah and it's sad because when I was young which was a long long time ago Disney was like the thing you everybody got to do at least once or twice you know when they were kids and it wasn't cheap back then I remember like in the 70s it was for a kid it was like 20 bucks something like that but I mean over $1,000 that's why kids don't get to enjoy things like that as much as they used to that's crazy. and people make that joke about when they win something where they doing and they said they're going to Disney World well nowadays it seems that's the only way the family can afford to go is to win the damn shit. I mean literally it's almost a month's rent. or two car payments I mean that's just nuts
