You definitely need boundaries for the child and the dog. It looked to me that the dog definitely didn't want the child to touch him. Y'all allowed this to go on, instilling a bad habit in your son. Teaching him that it is ok to force himself on the dog. Someday he might do this to a dog that won't run away and instead harm your beautiful son.
now this isn't no way funny. That little boy has no idea that dog doesn't want to be petted. That boy thinks the dog is playing. One day that dog will bite that boy and they will.blame the boy. I wold never have a dog that can't get along with kids. We only had 1 small dog, our daughter bought it for.my husband. She didn't like when our grandson would get close to my husband. She was a 1 person dog. As our grandson got older, she didn't bother him. We lost her abt a yr ago from cancer. she was 13. She was a miniture long haired dachshund.

I always feel so sorry for the new cat of the house or the new dog the house especially with mini children around always chasing after it wanting to pet it hold it play with it those poor animals but at the same time it is so lovable now the animals love those children anyways
