It’s a beautiful carving! I admire your creativity. I live in Louisiana. We still eat squirrels. They’re very delicious and honestly they are overpopulated so it’s part of the life cycle. If they’re not hunted the urban intrusion has depleted the natural resources they need to survive so hunting them actually helps keep their numbers in check so they can survive and not starve. They are very prevalent where I live.
