Wasn’t an option for us, when we were driving. If we were too tired to drive - we could start looking for a new job. Probably time to look for a different profession, Brother.

I've beat down a dispatcher and caught an assault charge because he tried this is showed the judge my evidence and the case was dismissed dispatchers aren't drivers

There’s rules allowing how many hours drivers can drive.

dispatcher grew up in a different time where there was no excuses you got the job done and that's it to it now can't do those things anymore you got to be so cautious at anything we do and can't say certain things can't do certain things etc.

Fedex will fire you on the spot if you drive fatigued. It's policy now, you dont have to ask. You pull off the road and take a nap, no questions asked. Your late, your late.

When you’re on your 10 hour break try sleeping not eating through the whole thing. Part of a truck driver’s job is managing sleep. You can’t do that. Give up your keys.

I'd hung up. called a friend or get a grey hound back home. leave the truck where it's at. if you have your CDL you can get a new job that same day if you really wanted to.

this sounds like the second half of an attempted call out after having sufficient DOT rest.

It’s better to hit the hay and be fired the next morning than to fall asleep crash an wake up in jail or in the ground

I remember the good old days where they would drive 20 hrs straight to the destination no sleep just music and a baggie of coke 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That’s quilting a person into doing the wrong thing……I rolled my car because I was quilted into continuing to drive when I was falling asleep with the sun coming up, that damned dispatcher will not except the blame if you screw up and fall asleep

Don’t ever drive if you are tired, it’s better to make the call to pull over no need to kill yourself over a few hours.

that dispatcher needs a new job lol wtf this guy is doing the right thing by not driving a giant vehicle while tired and this is the response I would go to sleep and drive the truck right back without dropping shit off lol fuck around and find out I'm an employee not a slave and I hope this man took action
