The owner was wrong for not calling the dog off. That young bear was trying to escape. The height that the dog fell from could have resulted in very serious injury or death.
Once that bear hound had a hank of bear fur he wasn’t letting go. Obviously blaming the owner is easy when you’re couch surfing so perhaps you’ve never been charged by a bear in your front yard & what saved your life was a gutsy dog. Give it a rest people!! You have no idea what the circumstances were in this instance. 🤔
