My kids do this. Anything that belongs to me appeals to their eyes. We'll go to McDonald's. I get them a Happy Meal and I'll get me fries. When we get home they'll still have fries but when I start to eat my fries they'll sit on me or next to me reaching for my fries and begging for them. I tell them they have their own fries. They continue bugging me for my fries... They will not eat their fries and after a couple of days I'm discarding their fries. I just don't understand it. But whenever I don't buy myself fries or if I hide my fries so they won't know I have fries, then they'll eat their own fries. Sometimes I feel like I can't have nothing. Even foods the kids don't like and won't eat if I give it to them, they take from me when I'm eating it and sometimes I really want it and even if I say no, it's hard for me to not give it to them.
