Nah male teachers are usually emasculated punks, weirdos or perverts. Was that way 20 years ago, doubt it much changed since. As a Black male high school teacher, I would not recommend it. The career just isn't what it used to be. The juice just ain't worth the squeeze.

Here is the thing... on one side you're saying how important diversity is... that it is essential to NOT group by race in any occupation, population, setting. But, then, you're saying how important identity-centric measures are - that a population "needs" a person who looks like them to be understood, valued, etc. Do you not see the hypocrisy? The sad part is this Generation don’t want to go to school don’t want to learn and running the streets stealing cars and killing each other. And even if the parents are trying to raise their children right. They have bad influence and peer pressure. My son is 21 and I’m thankful that he was an honor student and never hung out in the streets and never hung around anyone. He still the same and been working ever since he graduated.

Not only that a lot of men do not want to go to school to learn, read and study for 2 years to obtain a degree for better benefits and pay. They want fast money or they go somewhere where they can work now instead of going to school because to them that's taken away from the money they could be making. unfortunately. In my opinion it all boils down to their ego.

One of my best teachers ever was a black male math teacher in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades! This was many years ago and he taught me during those 3 years, more than any other teacher I’ve ever had! I would not even want to teach kids now days! Kids just get by disrespecting, fighting, mouthing off their teachers these days! Very sad!

Black males represent 6% of the U.S. population. What percentage of the education system do they represent? Federal government? Post office? State government? I’ll bet they’re over represented in every group.
