None of this should have happened. A copy of the original receipt could have easily been obtained. I’ve done this before myself as a cashier. Yes they do demand proof of purchase before leaving. She should have gone to customer service to resolve this. A cop is dead for trying to do her job. Trevor was also doing his job. All because the customer refused to comply? Now her gun and her child are involved in a police murder.

when I go to Walmart and they ask to see my receipt, I say a few things and keep it moving without showing them shit.1. didn't you just see me coming from the register and MY ITEMS are in Walmart marked bags?2. do you have probable cause or reason to believe I did anything? and if you do, where's the proof?3. once I gave my money to the cashier and she put the items in bags, that went into this buggy, those items no longer are property of Walmart but are now legally mine. you're now holding me and my property hostage and that's a federal offense. of you want those kinds of issues then sure I'll stop and give you my receipt. at the same time I'm still moving to the main door and I speak clearly and firmly so they understand clearly!!
