Maybe Amazon is not the place for you - seek better options- someone has a yes for you with better pay and everything else - praying it all works out for you
Learn a skill that pays more or learn your place in society.
Do you have an HR Dept? Maybe you could contact someone there and express your desire to work extra & suggest a fair way for extra hours to be offered. I'm not suggesting that you should have to beg anyone or kiss butt. Sometimes I think people with kids at home are offered 1st by well meaning management. If it matters to you, keep asking. Let them know in an email that you are willing and able to work Thursdays and that you have family needs that aren't being met and it would be really helpful if they could see to it that you are given extra hours. Sometimes, you just gotta keep asking but if you have record of it in your emails it's a lot harder for them to claim ignorance of the situation.

lots of people are going thru it, so many are just so underpaid and many/most aren't even asking for FAIR pay they're simply asking to work more. The wealthy are greedy and I hear it all the time how much the boss appreciates us but those words are cheap and true appreciation is fair wage but most employers think 20 bucks per hour is damn good but they've no clue, None of them could make only their home payment on a month's 20 per hr wage let alone eat. A fair wage for good work nowadays is 35 and up but it's very rare. only my opinion and many will hate it in 3,2,1👉👇
