As a mother and living in an environment where I knew my son had to grow up, I had to be the one to teach him right from wrong. I didn't have the opportunity or means to move to a better neighborhood. But it's not about where you live, it's what's in your heart. Teach them when they first start walking & talking. One thing I didn't do was buy him any type of toy gun 🔫, no BB gun, no water gun, nothing of the sort. I wasn't perfect but I did my best. I thank God every day for the young man that he is today 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. I pray that he continues on the path that God has paved for him. As single mothers of sons, we have to work extra hard to save our boys from this ill-fated society. Not to leave the girls out, because we have to work hard to raise beautiful queens as well.

It all comes down to how you teach and raise your children. I wouldn’t put a woman in this situation, I wouldn’t, nor any of my children. I taught my children to be diplomatic about life. To respect all, to learn life, and it’s ups and downs; therein. I taught them about the importance of life, and what happens when you use violence to settle an issue. I have read books to my children to help teach them about life. Reading helps with their vocabulary, and therefore, it will help them in life. They would never wake up to this scene, unless it is there mother. Single life and no children, then my family members wouldn’t catch me off guard like in this scene here! No! Teaching your kids to show respect and raise them fairly well in a chaotic environment, is paramount to learning and understanding their communities; And a successful citizen in this challenging world 🌎! When I meet people from different cultures, I am a diplomat representing my community and my culture!
