THIS STORY IS REAL. I looked it up and it's a story about John Hudson who was diagnosed with epidermolysis bullosa, leaving him in a body covered with open wounds since he was an infant. He has advocated for a cure for this horrible condition since his youth, hoping that children in the future will never know the same pain that has left him bedridden. John and his advocacy were a contributing factor to the first ever FDA approved treatment for EB that was released to the public recently. He is still alive today and did make it through that surgery.

No person, be it adult or child, should have to worry about being able to pay for needed surgery or Healthcare! It is a shame that the US has put greed over compassion, profit over over concern for their fellow man! When CEOs are making 100X's what the employees are making, something is terribly wrong! Our Healthcare system needs to be scrapped! It should be socialized and worked into our paychecks just like Social Security taxes are! We shouldn't have to worry about eating or paying our hospital bill, or buying our heart medicine! Think about it people! Then write your Congressmen and Senators and complain!

This is a mix up. There is no surgery to be done for the diseases that the child has. The honor walk is done when someone is going into surgery as an organ donor.

my great nephew has EB and he has had 2 diffrent bone marrow transplants, EB is the most horrible disease that your just now starting to hear about my nephew has been thru SOOO MUCH in his lifetime he's 12 now and he's been in hospitals I'll say 75%of his life he lives in upstate NY but has been in hospitals all over the country it seems so I ask for prayers to find a cure for this horrible disease

I took care of a young man years ago who had this disease. His poor thin body had to be slathered in Vaseline and wrapped from his chest down in nonstick gauze. We had to heavily medicate him beforehand. It was heartbreaking ❤️🩹
