As long as you make that decision to be alone and you are completely honest with yourself, it could be a great thing?! I, for one, am entirely self-made and self-sufficient and have been that way since I was 11 years old! Now, I didn't realize it at the time when I started out, but my early exposure with being from a large family, then to a state private school and being exposed to many different races of people and adults, prepared me for my particular isolationism! ('Not the political philosophical kind!') I only intended to have one good friend of the same gender and as many friends of the other! This process kept me in control of what I wanted to do in my life bcz of how I've seen others use people for their own gain! Yes, as human beings, we were created to interact socially, but if you don't have those types of skills, it almost always leads to your detriment bcz you depended on those types of interactions to fill up your time, for the sake of not being alone!
