I have almost been hit by a older lady she ran a stop sign I always make sure the other person is really stopping now 🙏 she was very old and I don't know if she even saw the sign .
A cautionary tale right here.. just like I told my son... Just because you have the green light, does not mean you go without looking.. and just because you can do 55 through an intersection, does not mean you should....
the trick to living is paying attention
on Christmas day I waited at a red light it turned green for me to turn left but I didn't go into the intersection just yet as I press the gas slightly this car ran a red light in front of me so fast it was a blur. it would have killed me if I was on the middle of the intersection. don't be so I'm a hurry to inter a intersection never

why are people in such a hurry to die or kill others
when I get a green light, I count to 3. look both ways just in case! I trust no one out there.
Even that car on the inside lane that went through simultaneously but slightly slower is probably in shock and counting their blessings.

I ALWAYS look both ways when traversing an intersection. NEVER trust a red light to be a guarantee no one will blow through it!

I don't know what they teach in school now days. In the 70s Drivers education was taught with so many hours of simulated driving in a simulator where you are driving and pedestrians run into the road, stop light runner, etc. There was also a gun safety course where we brought our guns to school. Back than criminals were not empowered for having a gun because most everybody had. Driving safely is a really simple thing. but with new rules and regulations they miss the basic simple acts of looking both ways at all times. Like with guns these days a criminal has a gun he can do whatever he wants most people don't have and are afraid to defend themselves for going to jail. We didn't have crime like there is today. The more regulations there are on guns, the more power the criminals have over the law abiding citizens. Criminals don't care about regulations or laws. The government needs to stop giving criminals guns. Thats what is happening with every new regulation. Same with driving.

I almost lost my life and even though I saw the walk sign didn't mean a thing. it was in alhambra California. land of "I think I can still make that turn" I saw the walk sign I begun to almost ride my bike when something told me to look and turn and stop at the same time soon as I stopped I saw a Toyota land cruiser, the big one who ignored the red light and just zipped right past me while I had the walk sign on at such high speeds..it zipped past literally half an inch from me. I thank God that day.
