man I know I'm late to the game but I agree with you!! as someone who does this kinds stuff for work like why?!?! my favorite is the "painters" who paint around outlet covers and don't do a lick of prep before. right now I'm actually peeling doors because some painter just slapped kilz over gloss and didn't even wipe the surface from dust let along sand or scuff the gloss. pelling it off in sheets. absolutely crazy.
