40 years pro big truck driver here, that truck driver is a dumb ass.
I retired from trucking after 30 years. STFU! trucks fault. truck was not at safe distance, light was yellow going red.
He had a .5 second following distance. Both drivers are morons. Trucker knows better. And the four wheeler should have kept it moving. Situational awareness on both parties was heavily lacking.

People are saying the car driver knows semi is behind him??? How so, it clearly shows the car driver is attentive to light turning yellow so decides to press on the breaks, semi truck driver isnt alert to traffic signal following so close to the car... so I believe its semi truck drivers fault.
The car shouldn't have stopped that quickly with a semi behind them. That said the truck driver should've been at least a little further back
Cars fault it's a caution light or prepare to stop, not f**king stop. say you have a blinking red light going east and west in an intersection and a yellow one north and south are you stopping for the yellow light?

It was the cars fault. The car was too close to the intersection to slam on the brakes when the light turned yellow. The truck seeing green, regardless of it was a stale green, had no idea the car ahead would slam on the brakes and the semi had no time to react. Not just that, semi trucks cannot stop that fast and as close as the semi was to the car I’m not sure if any vehicle would have been able to stop in time
Both drivers have faults in this one. It appears that both drivers enjoy gambling, plus the rush of adrenaline from placing high-stake bets on morons and pure assumptions, e.g., people understanding the basic skills and knowledge needed for driving and applying said skills and knowledge, all drivers (or any drivers in this matter) are aware of their surroundings and driving accordingly, assuming morons know how to and will be driving defensively. Both drivers went all-in, on the good ole “they’ll stop; they’ll proceed” famous bluff. WAIT…a…second…what’s this…Lil-Red is coming in hot…with only a short 20’ left to go…before the 🏁…what could he possibly be thinking…OH MY GAWD…he’s attempting to OUT-DUMB the other driver… AND HE’S PULLED IT OFF…Lil-Red successfully upped the ante… &…changed the game to 🐓… in one fellow swoop…winner takes home 🚫👏🏼👏🏼
trucker was going too fast, thinking the car in front was gonna take the light. the car in front should've been aware of the surroundings and noticed a big truck behind it, going as fast as it was. both at fault. they could've made that light, too!

Another good example of why it's necessary to have to re-take the driving test every 5 - 10 years! It's the truck drivers fault. 1. he was going way too fast coming up to a light that is changing AND with so many cars that were already stopped. 2. AND THIS IS A BIG ONE! When you hit someone in the rear 99.9% of the time, it is your fault!!!!! EVEN IF YOU THINK THE CAR STOPPED SHORT, it's still your fault for not slowing to a safe speed. Truckers should know that it takes longer to stop his truck than it does a car, so in that situation, he should have been extra cautious.
