I'm remember seeing tadpoles in cloudy water as young as I was, and they changed over time. That was normal, but this freaks me out. How many of you remember dissecting a frog in science class?

The species is known for incubating its eggs in honeycombed chambers in the skin of the mother's back, releasing fully formed froglets after a period of 4–5 months
What a peculiar adaptation! I presume that the female lays her eggs on mer mate’s back and he carries them until hatching, or she manages to transfer them to her own back. Interesting. So either the eggs themselves produce a glue to hold them in place, or the parent secretes glue from its back-skin. More details, please; this is all speculation!
