My company did security for the last 2 years of this. This is not much revenue for the coast. This is nothing compared to Crusin the Coast and much more violence and arrests.
When it first started years ago there were shootings large amounts of drugs rape robberies and people camping in citizens yards defecation in peoples yards and on the beach. That’s what gave it a bad reputation from the onset.
hospitality workers make no money. most businesses get shut down by the curfew. Staff everywhere gets treated like shit. No the coast looses money. only money made is the hotels for the rooms but I hear that's a nightmare as well

No. It’s not. The biggest revenue event for the Mississippi gulf coast is cruisin the coast. All races are included and no one gets killed. Black spring break drives more business away from the gulf coast than any other event in Mississippi.
The first year was total freaking chaos. They block the streets two lanes going each way, and no one could move along the beach. They walked on peoples cars use the bathroom in the dressing room of the stores. It was a shit show.
