They were all obviously trying to push the shark's head over the side of the boat to get it back in the water, it was obviously released from the crane too early which resulted in about 3 casualties by getting smashed by the Shark. That looks like a fishing boat. it was probably accidentally caught in the net.

Breaks my heart to see a beautiful creature like this treated in this manner. There are plenty of fish in the sea that grow fast enough to be sustainable food products. They do not need to harvest these whale sharks that take years to become the size.

Why are they catching protected sharks anyway, and why aren't they being charged for it, it's illegal for them to catch them?
