Most people are missing the point. If someone has the energy to get out of bed and go out and steal, they have the energy to look for a job. What looks like just someone who is hungry soon becomes an issue with more people coming into that store and trying to steal anything they want. That's why so many businesses leave crime stricken areas to avoid their property losses.

There are food banks for people who have difficulty being able to afford food. I worked with one. There are other organizations that distribute good, but outdated food from grocery stores. My family and I once benefitted from that when we were in a tough spot when our kids were little. (One child thought Pepperidge Farm bread came "tough."😆 I usually used it for French toast) There IS food available without having to steal it!!!
