This is what happens when your own local and state government wages war against you. This isn't happening because of crime, because it's a poor section of the city, None of that stuff. This is deliberate against us.
I literally drove through this area several days ago with my 10 year old son, and explain to him, This is where the life of drugs will lead you!!! These people are homeless, starving, diseased, infected, criminals, and everything else under the sun. My son has lived such a sheltered life that I never want the idea of drugs to be appealing something to do for fun. All of those people once thought doing drugs was for fun and for recreational uses. As horrific the scene was laid out before us he had to understand that this is real life for some people. This is not a movie, and the day that you decide to ever do drugs this could be where your life !!! It’s my job as his mother to keep him away from a life of doom. And I couldn’t think of a better way to explain “just say no” then showing him the outcome.!!!
But it is important that we send money to Ukrain?????? This is bull!!!!! Why in gods name are people supporting this regime ??
Some of you are voices of ignorance.This is not just because of drugs, mental illness or people who just do not want to work. The Federal Government gives these States money for economic enrichment, some officials are corrupt to enhance their own wealth. Ex: Housing, the rent for a one bedroom apartment in Seattle, Cali, San Francisco, Florida etc. are no less than 2000k monthly. Families are living on the streets, are told to live in shelters for 30 days or more. Rent vouchers after waiting years to obtain. This has been going on for decades, covid made it worse. Properties are being brought by big companies in the enter cities and suburbs. They are not accepting rent vouchers.The same people you choose to use your most valuable asset to place in political office is your Vote. It maybe them on the streets today, but it maybe you or your love ones tomorrow. Give thanks for your blessings. Stop Hating.

Homelessness took an uptick when Pres. Reagan closed and defended mental health facilities. The states could not afford to support them and folks started living on the streets. Veteran services were cut, as were drug treatment. Look deeper and stop believing that this is new issue.
Mental Health is where all of this starts... why do people turn to drugs? Because they do not know how to cope with their feelings and struggles whether that is due to trauma they have experienced or their mental health is not good.

Instead of complaining bring it to the mayor of Philly. Make a solution plan from councilor of mental help to housing solutions. Pass zoning laws to get these people off the street to more police presence for help protection to caseworkers getting out their offices to churches instead of sitting in the pews on Sunday going out and getting involved to help with all hands on deck. Complaining is only breath having an action plan is needed today.

the real reason behind this problem still existing, is that our local, state, and federal governments are spending the money on asylum seekers that churches are bringing here. even in Sanford, Maine, local homeless get little to no help, but asylum seekers swoop into town, and everyone hands over money to help. this country is very backwards.
