I'm sympathetic to the protesters who want to stop ICE from deporting innocent undocumented immigrants, people who just want to work, and not otherwise bothering anybody. In fact, is a great error to go after the 9 or 10 million undocumented immigrants who are just working quietly. if ICE deports them, the American economy will contract by about a trillion dollars, about 3%. Owners of farms will not have workers to bring in the crops. Food prices will rise. America could become a net food importer. Construction companies won't have people to install roofs for them. American citizens who are married to undocumented immigrants, who number hundreds of thousands, will be very embittered at the government. US citizen kids will grow up without parents and lean toward delinquency. However, criminal illegal aliens who carry out gang activity, riot in the streets, shoplift, engage in Gypsy funeral, jewelry, squatting, and home invasion scams, and car thieves should absolutely be deported.
