I got a better idea. . .how about I keep my happy a$$ out of bear country altogether!😆
I remember when I was a Boy Scout and we went on a forest tour in bear country with a guide in Yellowstone... We were all given, really cool souvenir whistles designed to scare the bears and make them go away. While in the woods, the guide was starting to point out what bare scat looked like when we came upon a pile and it was sizable, but not elephant size and he said, that is black bear scat. We went a little further, but didn't see any more evidence of bears. One of the scouts ask, "What does brown bear scat look like?" He replied, "Oh, that simple, those are the piles that are full of bear whistles🙏🙏🙏🤔
I've fished various remote rivers in western Alaska over 23 times during a 30 year period. Similar scenes to this were common on almost every trip. No need to shoot the bear or panic. This young bear is just looking for or returning to a spot to feed on salmon. Being in a group of 3 or 4 is good. As the leader of those marvelous expeditions, I relate that we often did not even carry a gun. We and the bears got along just fine. They got fat in preparation of hibernating and we caught and released thousands of fish. Sometimes we stopped fishing just to watch the pros go at it. People with the attitudes and ignorance regarding bears thst have responded to this post would have never been invited or allowed on my trips.
Leave wildlife alone how about that! It’s worked for me! And I am 100 Indigenous Paiute! Saw lots of bears just don’t make sudden movements, or have a fantastic dog by your side! Godbless Buster the German Shepherd he gone now but always a damn good boy! Saved my life many a time!💕🙏🏼got more lifesaving beautiful Belgian Malinios.🙏🏼
Here’s a recent sighting of a handsome strapping young Brown Northern California Bear my colleague saw just a few yards from his Camp Tent 🤠❗️
Even notice, you never see black people. Near bears, it's just certain ways we are determined not to die. We know bears , cougars and wolves live in woods. So we let the bears, cougars and wolves live in the woods without us 😆😆😆😆😆😆
I'd like to share this story my dad told me many years ago when flew as ice observer over the Arctic while he was in the Navy. His job was to go out and measure the ice thickness to be sure the ice breakers could get through. One day he went ice fishing and caught 2 huge Arctic char. He was on his way back to baseline camp carrying one char by the gills...one in each hand. The tails were dragging on the ice & leaving a trail of blood. He hadn't reached camp yet and thought he heard something behind him. When he turned around he saw the biggest polar bear following him a little too close for comfort. They both stopped and looked at each other. Daddy looked at the bear, looked at the fish, dropped one ,turned around and kept walking...only a little faster. Both the bear& my dad were grateful that night. This was back in the late 50s.
I promise you not a single pair of the boots in this video belong to a black person. This clip does not concern us.
Animals in their habitat should be respected.
Lay down, Why?? To make it easier for him to kill me ? He had to have seen me lying down before he got up close. I see , he can smell the gun powder from the 30.06 I have across my chest. and the 38 Mag, rocket launcher, also . Ok I therefore guess theirs no problem.👍🏼😯
wouldn't have to worry about me laying down, because I would have fainted!😄
What do you if it's white?
There’s no way let me say that again for those in the back, there’s NO WAY I’m going in the wild anywhere much less where there’s threat of danger from bears or large cats, etc without being properly armed !
When I was a child we camped in Yellowstone National Park. Brown and black bears roamed freely through the campground. Campers did not bother them and the bears did not bother the campers. It is all different now. Now stupid people give bears handouts. And some bears have become very smart and aggressive when searching for food, I have a friend who owns a summer cabin in Colorado. One night a bear started trying to break in. The bear was relentless! My friends tried to scare it away. Did not work. The bear broke the door and when it started to enter my friend shot and killed it. Following pl protocol he immediately called the game warden. Their cabin to this day has claw marks on it! People don’t feed the bears!
...and if it's white, say goodnight !
And… if it’s white, good night — you’re doomed. No winning a fight with a polar bear. 🤣
He remembers the last ones giving him diarrhea
My bow hunting son just killed a brown bear that was charging him.
Yeh, right! That's a hard no on something I won't do. Don't all bears have a brown coat at some point?
well, learned from wild hogs that bears don't like shit and since I'd probably shit myself here,I would be good???
what if your color blind? what if the Bears color blind?
Those boots, they come in every size from babies to big men.
I would only hope the bear knows the rules
If it’s brown lay down, if it’s black fight back, if it’s white say good night!
If your undies are now brown, don't sit down.
what if they smell the mess in my pants,? will that attract em? 🤔
Bear: Where's my cell phone? I know I left it around here
If it’s white, be the fastest runner in the group!
WTF
Man, idk, I see a bear, my instinct is to run!!!
And if it’s white GOODNIGHT!!!
Me When a Bear Pull Up...
That person who moved their foot would've gotten beaten there hell up for moving 😂😂😂😂
You should lie down, not lay down!
sorry about the cobwebs lol. This girl/ boy keeps visiting my front porch. My German Shepherd lets me know it's on the porch. Smaller one but chunky. They don't bother me at all we just keep our space and everything is fine. I live in the country. Very normal here.
SOMEWHERE ALONG THE NATURAL DEVINE OF THINGS WE GET TOO COMFORTABLE WITH WILD NATURE AND ITS' NATURAL INSTINCTS.....THEN WE SUFFER AND/OR WE DIE🤔. PRAYING FOR YOU OUT THERE.🙏
Bears are great hunters also scavengers, it can smell a human miles away, had the bear been hungry or old needing an easy kill it would’ve had one of those clowns for a meal.
This post is very erroneous and downright inaccurate.
Worst advice ever. Bears, grizzly or black bears, do not like to be challenged. You should always assume there may be cubs nearby. Don't turn your back on the bear and just start backing away slowly. Do not run until you are a safe distance away. Standing your ground and making noise and making yourself big is what you do to big cats. They're skittish and will run away. Bear spray can save your life.
Advice I heard was to file the front sight off your handgun…so it’s less painful when the bear shoves it up your ass.
how about not there at all
yeah, that's the saying all right, if it's brown, lay down, if it's black, you fight back, and if it's white, KISS YOUR ASS GOOD BYE 👋
This would be one hell of a picture for my living room.
Now that's cool!
how bout. if it's grown. I'm gone!!! puune!!🏃♀️
WHERE IS THIS? IT'S ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
what about if it's black?
I lived in Montana for over 30 years and , because our log house was 7 miles outside of the nearest town, we had all sorts of wild critters visit. One dark night I heard a commotion on our back deck. Thinking it was our black dog dumping the garbage can over I grabbed my handy broom to chase her off. At the time we didn't have a light back there, nor did our back door always latch. No lock either. I grabbed that broom. ran onto the deck yelling and a bear popped its head out of the garbage can! Here I was, within 6 feet of that bear, armed with only a broom! Couldn't get back inside fast enough. I do remember though that it took off the other direction at the same time. Good thing my broom was loaded. lol
This gotta be AI
wow?
I'm not fighting any bear! 🫣
If it's brown and you lay down but what do you do if it stays around? 😲🤔
Aren't black and brown bears the same, just different colors?
good info
I never knew that I thought you stand your ground for both of them
I don't do the Woods‼️💩😉
Jesus Christ on a bicycle! nerp!
This has to be AI. Any bear is going to attack you.
Yeah, it’s a brown bear, but they can be just as deadly as a grizzly. I’m not don’t underestimate these animals. I’d be more worried about grizzlies. It looks like they’re in the Alaskan area the fishing for rainbows that are coming in to lay their eggs or salmon one of the other I can count on the grizzly on one of the Kodiak islands. I had to take the grizzly out I didn’t want to, but it’s a situation that was beyond my abilities to not do something and spare somebody’s life those things I got 12 inch clause on them if not some of them I got more longer than that when they swipe you with those clothes you’re finished. It doesn’t take much for grizzly to take down a human. All the odds are in their favor.
