don't take my last post wrong I don't want to see anyone get in trouble that would be horrible over a bird but everybody loves birds 🐦 also Cardinals are my favorite bird and the woodpeckers are my second favorite bird I love the sound of a woodpecker making it's nest in a tree you would think that they would get hurt as hard as they peck on a tree or hurt their brain but they have a brain that moves and a natural cushion that protects their brain funny things to learn

here where I live you can go to jail for having a northern cardinal also know as the red cardinal they are the State bird but it is also illegal to own one as a pet anywhere in the United States and Canada. northern cardinals are protected under the MIGRATORY BIRD TREATY ACT OF 1918 and more to help keep people out of trouble just like the Bald it is also illegal to have their parts such as their feathers, NESTS (that one was hard to believe because how can you tell it is their nest if there isn't a bird living in it) and possessing their eggs. possessing these things is a federal offense carrying a prison sentence of up to 6 months and up to a 15,000.00 fine
