I would have called 911, took photos of car/tag and put children in my car until cops showed up and parents showed up. The photo would show time you found them and how long kids had been left alone. Ain't NO WAY parents forgot them!!! Charges, Charges, Charges!!!

when I was six I went with my best friend who was 10, downtown, when we were living in Okinawa. of course we didn't tell anybody where we were going. had a great day, I was a skinny little kid with a head full of platinum blonde hair, and everybody was petting me and marveling at the way I looked, we were treated very well! caught hell when I got home though......
They were lucky nobody snatched them . But it was irresponsible to leave them alone along side of the road.

You never know the whole story…I saw an 2 year old sitting in a snow bank at 0730 Sunday am. I stopped, flagged down a vehicle and after making sure the kiddo was warm, called the cops. I’m a peds nurse just getting off work and my assessment revealed the little one had an ear infection and pneumonia and was wearing only PJs w/ no coat. Cops let me know later the child left the house to follow dad who was delivering newspapers. Dad didn’t notice the child left the house and the mom was asleep.

Not sure why no one believes that the parents didn't realize the kids were missing. Hell, literally hundreds of children have been "accidentally" left in cars and died from the heat and most believe that's feasible. Tell me how that is different.
